Run Escape Unity Application

This is our game where the player chooses their adventure in a vast world.

Run Escape | COMP 3951 Technical Programming Group Project | January - May 2023
Our idea for a game is that players will progress through a story-driven narrative that challenges them to make meaningful choices and shape the outcome of the game through exploration, combat, and interactions with other characters.

The game will also provide opportunities for players to customize their characters' abilities, equipment, and appearance, giving them a sense of ownership and investment in their journey.

Our keen interest in game development has led us to explore this type of project. By creating this project, we gained many learning opportunities in terms of technical skills and personal development, such as:
1. Game Development Skills: Developing an RPG game involves a wide range of technical skills, such as programming, game design, art and animation, sound design, and user interface design.

2. Teamwork and Collaboration: Game development is often a collaborative process, involving multiple people with different areas of expertise.

3. Creative Problem-Solving: Developing a game requires a lot of creative problem-solving, as we need to come up with innovative solutions to technical and design challenges.

4. Project Management: Game development can be complex and time-consuming, so it requires effective project management skills to ensure we stay on track and meet deadlines. We’ll learn project management skills, including time management, task prioritization, and communication.

5. Player Feedback and Iteration: An RPG game is typically a long-term project that involves multiple iterations and revisions based on player feedback. By soliciting and incorporating feedback from players, we can learn how to iterate and improve our game based on user needs and preferences.
Overall, making an RPG game provides a valuable learning experience in a range of technical, creative, and personal development areas.
