I had a rewarding experience working on this project, filled with both fun and challenges. The client was exceptionally helpful, offering support in various ways, which greatly aided my progress.

In developing this e-commerce website, I achieved the following improvements:

1.  Customized and configured OpenCart V3 to align with the client's branding, including color scheme, layout, and feature adjustments.

**Covidiots 19 | Team-Based Web Game | COMP 4952 HCI Project**

We proudly created Covidiots 19, an innovative team-based resource survival game where players are challenged to strategize, cooperate, and adapt to survive in a world ravaged by a fictional COVID-19 outbreak.

By combining ASP.NET for its robustness and SignalR for real-time communication, we were able to create a responsive, secure, and engaging multiplayer gaming experience.

The purpose of the lobby in Covidiots 19 is to provide a staging area where players can gather and prepare before the game starts.

In the development of Covidiots 19, I was responsible for designing and implementing numerous UI elements and game logic, including:

*   Interaction with objects and doors

*   Map movement

*   Sprite movement and direction visuals

*   Random item generation

*   Onboarding tutorial

*   Lobby design

The CodeCraft project is a dynamic web application developed using ASP.NET, specifically designed to facilitate the generation of Python code blocks within the front-end interface using C# code.

As the project manager, I orchestrated a team of 18 students, ensuring effective communication channels with the client and driving the project towards success.

Recognized as one of the most impactful contributors, I demonstrated dedication and leadership throughout the project. Key accomplishments of this project include:

1.  Ensured timely completion of project deliverables by meticulously monitoring the team's progress.

2.  Conducted seven usability studies with real users, gathering valuable UX feedback and transforming these insights into analytical reports.

3.  Utilized these reports to make informed decisions in the project's agile development process.

E-commerce Essential Oils Website

**Technology Framework Monitor (TFM) | WorkSafeBC | Industry Sponsored Student Project | May 2023**

We had a remarkable collaboration with the WorkSafeBC tech team and the BCIT ISSP Program to release their software project as open-source.

I gained invaluable experience working with the WSBC software seniors. I updated TFM and 22 WorkSafeBC projects to the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework, eliminating unused codebase in preparation for open sourcing TFM. I optimized TFM's performance by fine-tuning multi-threading and throttling mechanisms, reducing scanner speed from 1 hour to just 9 minutes. Additionally, I created comprehensive documentation for the TFM codebase, including a step-by-step end-user guide for scanner installation and technical troubleshooting. They mentioned that my contributions closely mirrored their daily tasks.

Our clients, the City of Vancouver Mural Program team and CityStudio Vancouver, invested tremendous energy into our collaboration, resulting in a remarkable project. My key contributions include:

*   Implemented essential features such as user application submission, admin verification, and user profiles using HTML, CSS, JS, Express, and MySQL.

*   Improved website responsiveness by applying human-computer interaction (HCI) principles.

*   Strengthened security measures against SQL injections.

**Run Escape | COMP 3951 Technical Programming Group Project | January - May 2023**

Our idea for a game is that players will progress through a story-driven narrative that challenges them to make meaningful choices and shape the outcome of the game through exploration, combat, and interactions with other characters.

At <https://heartcompany.ca/>, I had the privilege of enhancing the visual appeal and user-friendliness of their e-commerce website. My focus was on creating a seamless shopping experience for customers while driving increased sales through effective design and functionality improvements.

#### Key Contributions

*   **User Experience Enhancement:** I ensured continued user-friendliness by implementing intuitive navigation and visually appealing design elements, making it easier for customers to find and purchase products.

*   **Full-Stack Development:** I managed both the front-end and back-end of the Shopify website, ensuring all aspects worked harmoniously to provide a smooth and efficient shopping experience.

*   **Bug Fixes and Optimization:** I diligently fixed bugs and technical issues to maintain optimal website performance, ensuring that customers encountered minimal disruptions during their shopping journey.

#### Innovative Add-On Page

One of the standout features I implemented was an add-on page that appears after customers add items to their carts. This page encourages continued shopping by displaying related products and offering a convenient way for customers to keep browsing without interrupting their purchase process. This not only enhances the user experience but also helps increase the average order value.

The Heart Company E-commerce Website Project

The Heart Company E-commerce Website

Smart Pictionary was similar to Pictionary but with a twist: instead of drawing, we used an image generation model. The server created an image from a random prompt, and players had to guess the original prompt. If it was too challenging, they could ask the server for hints. Player performance stats were tracked and could be accessed upon request.

My responsibilities for this project included verifying login credentials and guiding users to the game.

I also deployed the project on Google Firebase and integrated the frontend UI to call endpoints from the server.

When playing the game, you need to guess the three image generation prompts that our server used. Each prompt will include a noun, an object, and an action. For example, in the scenario below, the correct answers would be Guinea Pig (noun), Canoe (object), and Paddle (action). I was responsible for ensuring that users can win if they correctly guess the prompts.

We leveraged Google Firebase and Microsoft Azure to deploy two distinct servers: one handling client-side operations and the other dedicated to administrative functionalities.

Our tech stack included Docker for containerization, Swagger for API documentation, EJS for templating, JavaScript for client-side scripting, and Node.js for server-side execution.

This website will serve as a professional platform for showcasing tax services, providing valuable resources, and enabling seamless communication between clients and the service provider.

*   HTML/CSS: For creating the structure and styling of the web pages.

*   JavaScript: To add interactivity and enhance user experience.
